When it was founded by in 1979, VacuSweep was of the first power sweeping companies in the Chicago area. Through the years, as Chicago has grown so has our company.

At the helm today is Ben Keefe, who got into the business in 1992 when he purchased the company six months after getting out of the Army. Now in his 14th year as a hands-on operator, Ben knows first-hand what it takes to perform all of the job functions VacuSweep handles. That's one of the keys to why our customers get the high-quality, responsive level of service that's become VacuSweep's hallmark. That's also why much of our new business comes from referrals from our current customers.

We're fully insured and certified, can offer a host of great referrals, and have personnel that are fully trained in each of the many types of jobs we do. However, you'll find that VacuSweep is one of those rare 21st century companies that takes pride in our both our neighborhood and our business. We take professionalism to an extraordinary level, and our goal is to exceed every customer's expectation, each and every day. Parking area sweeping, especially, is an industry that is largely unregulated, yet typically involves having sweeping personnel on a customer's property when they're not around. As a result, we believe it's vitally important that our customers understand how much importance we place on professional behavior by our personnel at all times.

You'll be glad to know that VacuSweep is an active member of both the American Public Works Association and the North American Power Sweeping Association. We are also members of the Power Washers of North America, and one of the Founding Members of the Ethics Program developed by WorldSweeper.com.

In our almost three decades in business, we've learned that actively participating in these organizations is one of the best ways to keep current with the latest techniques, innovations and equipment. Our management team also regularly attends America's annual National Pavement Exposition, where we attend seminars and discussion groups that keep VacuSweep on the cutting edge in all our areas of service.
